Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders are a group of mental health conditions characterized by excessive worry, fear, or nervousness that interfere with daily life. Types include:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): Persistent and excessive worry about various aspects of life, often accompanied by restlessness, muscle tension, and difficulty concentrating.
  • Panic Disorder: Recurrent, unexpected panic attacks with symptoms like rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, dizziness, and intense fear of losing control or dying.
    Social Anxiety
  • Disorder: Intense fear of social situations, leading to avoidance and distress in interactions with others.

Anxiety disorders may also include phobias and obsessive-compulsive tendencies. Treatment typically involves therapy, lifestyle modifications, and sometimes medication to help manage symptoms.
