Meet Dr. Winfrey

Dr. Chris Winfrey is the psychiatrist behind New Image Wellness. His practice combines traditional psychiatry, metabolic and mitochondrial psychiatry, psychoneuroimmunology, orthomolecular psychiatry, functional medicine, environmental neuropsychiatry, and psychoanalytic therapy to support mental and emotional well-being.

He uses this combination of medicine towards conditions such as Traumatic Brain Injuries, Cognitive Impairment, PANDAS, Autism, Mold Toxicity induced Encephalitis, Refractory Depression, complex PTSD, Chronic Fatigue complexes, and other conditions to rehabilitate the brain and thus restore mental functioning. Dr. Winfrey also works in the forensic psychiatry space offering services for various legal matters to assist attorneys and the courts.

With a background in cultural psychiatry, Dr. Winfrey has had the privilege of presenting and engaging in discussion around these important topics at various conferences.

Dr. Winfrey also has a deep interest in the interface of Faith and health , and he has worked on bridging the gap between faith traditions and psychiatry, including at APA international meetings.

Currently, he is exploring how lifestyle, genetics, environmental factors, and organic and inorganic toxins influence neuropsychiatric conditions—specifically how they shape our thoughts, schemas, and conflicts.

I invite you to join me as I continue growing and learning in this ever-evolving field of neuropsychiatry!
