Conditions We Treat

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) / Post-Concussive Syndrome

A Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) occurs when a sudden impact, jolt, or penetrating injury disrupts brain function. Symptoms depend on severity, ranging from mild concussions to severe brain damage. Cognitive, physical, and emotional impairments may include memory loss, difficulty concentrating, headaches, dizziness, mood swings, and impaired motor skills.

Post-Concussive Syndrome (PCS) refers to persistent symptoms lasting weeks or months after a mild TBI. Individuals may experience brain fog, sensitivity to light or noise, fatigue, irritability, and sleep disturbances. Recovery varies, with some needing rehabilitation and ongoing medical support.
